Our Engagement

Supporting our Community

Guildford Town Centre has played an important role in Surrey for almost 50 years and we are committed to enhancing the lives of people in our community. We proudly contribute to many organizations, events and programs throughout the year.

Thanks to your support, in 2014, we were able to complete our $250,000 donation to Surrey Hospital & Outpatient Centre Foundation to support their Emergency Centre campaign. If you visit the emergency centre you can see the commemorative painting which was created during our Grand Opening and next time you visit GTC, you can see the partner painting which is hanging next to the administration office by Sears.

We are now proud to be supporting the Surrey Firefighters Charitable Society (SFCS). All the coin that is collected from our water features is donated to SFCS to support youth programs in Surrey. In 2013 & 2014 we raised close to $35,000 through our charity gift wrap and other activities to help the SFCS continue their great work in our community.

Some of the ways GTC supported our community In 2014:
  • We helped close to 100 non profit and charitable organizations by providing donations for their fundraisers and providing space in the shopping centre
  • We support the Surrey Guildford Rotary Club’s Annual Book Sale – they will be here again September 28 to October 4, 2015
  • Our YES! (Youth Events Series) showcases various youth organizations creating events in the shopping centre
  • We host the Surrey Libraries’ Surrey Kids Read event every January to help promote literacy
  • Members of our team helped build the new playground at Hjorth Road Elementary and have volunteered at the Surrey Food Bank
